PLAY Movie Premiere
PLAY IN THE SNOW
A film premiere like something out of a picture book. A successful evening with an exciting film, good conversations and a great surprise performance. In cooperation with Pat Burgener and FIS, we were able to realize a great project that shows different perspectives on what play can do in the lives of children.
In the documentary, we accompanied children in Lebanon who are growing up under difficult circumstances. They defy them with hope and are motivated to make an impact on their lives. The documentary shows different perspectives on what play can do in children's lives.
The documentary was made in collaboration with our long-time partner, the International Ski Federation FIS, and our ambassador Pat Burgener. The professional snowboarder not only shares his conviction for children's play-based education with Right To Play, but also has Lebanese roots himself. He knows Lebanon and the context in which children grow up very well. In the documentary, we accompany children in Lebanon who visit the Right To Play projects, witness their reality and how they gain courage and hope through various forms of play. FIS also allows the children to have a day of play in the snow, where they break out of their daily routine, discover new things, and learn to jump over their own shadows together with other children.
With the ticket donations we can implement programs like the ones shown in the film. Thanks to the support, we enable numerous children to take a step towards a better future.
A big thank you goes to the Arthouse Le Paris in Zurich for the great hospitality. Many thanks to all who gave this evening a special touch!
